A local band will be hosting a fundraising performance.
WOODSTOCK - A fundraising event will be helping a tragedy struck family.
Local band Road House will be performing at Quality Hotel and Suites on Friday.
All money raised from the event will support the family of Desiree Ford.
Ford is currently recovering in the hospital after a car accident.
Joanne Sweet is one of the driving forces behind the event.
She explains the there is a special age exception for this event.
"Ody's has bent the rules a little bit and they're letting it be for all ages because of the age of Desiree. She has a lot of young friends. So it's just really a chance to let the Fords know how much the community is supporting that family."
Sweet also says that there will be a silent auction at the event.
"Some of the silent auction items are quite fabulous actually. The people have been very generous. There's four Blue Jay tickets, spa package, theatre subscription, artwork and wine. I think there is a wine tour on there as well. So all kinds of things."
The event begins at 7pm and all ages are welcome.
