The search is over for a 33 year old man who served five years in prison for stabbing his girlfriend in Woodstock. OPP apprehended Christopher Fulton in the City of Toronto on Friday. Fulton had been on the loose since May 11th when he was reported missing by his family members. Because he was on parole he was supposed to be checking in with his corrections officer and was wanted on a breach of recognizance. Fulton was initially charged with attempted murder back in 2008 in the multiple stabbing of his ex girlfriend. He eventually pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of aggravated assault and spent five years in prison before being released in 2013. OPP were concerned he may have tried to head back to this area as he still has ties to Oxford, however he was picked up without incident in Toronto. The OPP would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this investigation.
