The LPRCA and the GRCA issued flood warnings on Saturday, and a flood watch remains in effect for the UTRCA.
OXFORD COUNTY - Flood warnings remain in effect for two local conservation authorities.
The Long Point Region Conservation Authority issued a warning for lower Big Otter Creek from Tillsonburg to Port Burwell Saturday morning. Officials stated that the water flows crested that morning, and there was a risk of flooding in lower Big Otter Creek in the Bayham Township area.
The Grand River Conservation Authority also issued a flood warning for Ayr Saturday night, on top of the flood warning that was already issued for New Hamburg.
The flood warnings should remain in effect until 12:00 p.m. today.
Meanwhile, the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority has had a flood watch in effect since Friday.
All of the rain we got last week and the melting snow has impacted the water levels across all three conservation authorities the UTRCA, the GRCA, and the LPRCA. All three conservation authorities are warning people to stay away from local bodies of water.
