The first annual Woodingford Lodge Roll and Stroll raised over $2,000 for the Woodstock Hospital this morning.
WOODSTOCK - Woodingford Lodge held their first annual Roll and Stroll this morning.
Director Corrie Fransen says they wanted to do their part to help the Woodstock Hospital.
"We chose this because we felt we wanted to be a good community partner and our residents couldn't take part in the Dairy Capital Run but we made our own event and adapted it so that the residents of Woodingford Lodge could participate and support the hospital."
Fransen says about 45 people participated in the event, including about 20 residents.
"We did a walk all the way around Woodingford Lodge, so through the parking lot and around the back and through our accessibility garden and back to the front. Some people walked, some people were pushed in wheelchairs. So there were different modes of transportation."
They raised $2,078 for the Woodstock Hospital in the end. Franson says they would like to make the Roll and Stroll an annual event.
