Oxford County OPP is currently investigating a serious collision that happened on Highway 401 near Woodstock at approximately 12:15pm today. Traffic in the eastbound lanes just east of Sweaburg Road had to swerve to avoid a large metal fender that was lying in the left lane. In trying to avoid the fender, a two door Mitsubishi struck a tractor trailer unit travelling beside it. This caused extensive damage to the car and injuries to the female driver and three passengers. Police are wishing to speak with the driver of a tan van or SUV hauling a 10 foot long white utility trailer that had pulled to the side of the road ahead of the collision. This trailer will be missing the fender over one wheel.
