The College decided to defer all ceremonies that were scheduled to happen between October and November in several cities, including Woodstock. This decision was made based on current public health restrictions on large indoor gatherings.
WOODSTOCK - Fanshawe College is going to defer all fall convocation ceremonies originally scheduled to take place in St. Thomas, Woodstock, Simcoe, London and Huron/Bruce between October and November of this year.
This decision was made based on current public health restrictions on large indoor gatherings.
The College is tentatively planning an in-person celebration next spring for all 2020 graduates if health officials deem it safe to hold large public gatherings.
Vice President of Student Services Michele Beaudoin says Fanshawe congratulates each graduating student who has worked hard to complete their studies, making sacrifices and learning different skills during these difficult times.
“Students have persevered through a very difficult time to complete their studies under extraordinary circumstances. We are very proud of their accomplishments and we know how disappointing this news will be. We look forward to celebrating their achievements when the threat of the pandemic has subsided.”
