Make sure to bundle up as Oxford County will be under an extreme cold warning until Friday.
OXFORD COUNTY - Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for the region, including Oxford County.
A frigid arctic air mass and strong winds will result in wind chill values of minus 30 to minus 35 tonight through to Friday morning. The Cold Artic air will settle over Southern Ontario tonight with overnight low temperatures between minus 20 and minus 25 degrees, combined with strong wind gusts and wind chill values of minus 30 to minus 35.
We will likely get a break from the freezing cold on Friday as milder air moves into the region.
Extreme cold puts everyone at risk. Cover up. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.
If it's too cold for you to stay outside, it's too cold for your pet to stay outside.
