Take your yoga mat and workout gear to Roth Park on Tuesday evening for a good workout and a great cause, it's Essentrics in the Park for The United Way Oxford.
WOODSTOCK - Residents can head down to Roth Park on Tuesday evening for Essentrics in the Park.
The event is being organized by Inspired To Move, where people will be lead through a dynamic full-body workout.
Owner and Teacher of Inspired To Move, Ashley Farrar says tying in exercise and helping the community seemed like a natural fit.
"Expect that you will be in bare feet moving wearing clothes that are just comfortable moving in it doesn't matter, whatever that might be, and you can expect that I'll be moving with you and there's going to be music playing and it's a dynamic workout so we're going to be constantly moving in ways that will feel good for the body."
She says you can bring a yoga mat or if you don't have one, a towel will do just fine. She adds you have the option to take a break when you need it.
Farrar will be leading the workout, which will simultaneously strengthen and lengthen all 650 muscles.
"So it works on building strength in all of your ranges of motion and every workout you work every single muscle and every joint of the body."
She says a rain date has been setup in case it is cancelled, which she will on her social media if that should happen.
If you are interested in participating, tickets are $12.00 and she says every single dollar raised will go towards United Way Oxford.
If you want to register, people can either email Ashley at ashley@inspiredtomove.ca or they can drop into office at United Way Oxford and leave their donation with them.
Essentrics in the Park goes from 6:30 to 7:30.
