The hot and sunny weather isn't great for everyone as a special air quality statement has been issued by Environment Canada.
Environment Canada has issued a special air quality statement as they expect high levels of air pollution today.
The hot and sunny weather is expected to cause an increase in ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon in Oxford, Brant, Elgin, Perth, Middlesex, and Norfolk.
Some people may experience headaches, shortness of breath, throat irritation, and even coughing fits. The people most at risk are children, seniors, and people with cardiovascular or lung diseases like asthma.
Anyone experiencing difficulties breathing is encouraged to limit outdoor activity until the statement is lifted.
