Woodstock native Emily O'Quinn has made it to the top 5 in the L'Oreal Brush Contest.
WOODSTOCK - It's official..... Emily O'Quinn has made it to top five in the L'Oreal Brush Contest.
The Woodstock make up artist was given the good news Tuesday morning.
The win moves O'Quinn closer to the grand prize.
"The top five contestants, we are competing on March 27 at the Shangri La Hotel in Toronto and I think that they will select the winner that night after a 40 minute makeup demo on stage."
She says while she doesn't know what the final competition will entail, she knows that L'Oreal is supplying all of the makeup and brushes and CTV's ETalk will be covering the contest along with Elle Magazine.
O'Quinn says it's going to take a bit to sink in.
"I finished initially in top five by 20 votes so every single share, every single vote, every single person you passed it along to counted. I wouldn't have been here if it weren't for every single person's vote. Like 20 votes when it gets up to 6500 is not that big of a difference so it just goes to show that all of our work and support was needed and so, so appreciated."
Whomever wins that competition will compete internationally to become L'Oreal Paris' new makeup designer and travel to the Cannes International Film Festival for their first assignment.
