Elementary school teachers in Ontario will be in a legal strike position as of Sunday night. Instead of walking off the job teachers will be doing a work to rule campaign where teachers still show up everyday and only do the minimum requirements of their job. For students in Oxford County this will mean no extra curricular's like clubs or sports teams and teachers will not provide extra help to students outside of class hours. According to the teachers union a central strike action will happen at 32 public school boards starting on Monday if a deal cannot be reached. Calls to the ETFO Thames Valley Local have not been immediately returned to Heart FM. A couple of Toronto area regions in Peel and Durham are already off the job along with a school board in Sudbury, affecting more than 70-thousand students.
