EAST ZORRA TAVISTOCK - East Zorra Tavistock has once again made it clear they are not interested in a boundary adjustment with the City of Woodstock at this time.
Sifton Properties came to EZT council on Wednesday looking to have some dialogue with the Township around lands north of Road 17. They were representing a couple of land owners who were hoping to have those lands incorparated in a boundary adjustment for residential development. Deputy Mayor Maureen Ralph tells Heart FM some reasons why she didn't want to approve this request.
"We are very concerned about the loss of agricultural land, that is A-1 land, it is part of township, we don't like to shrink the size of our township, we are certainly not the largest in the county. We have already made previous boundary adjustments with the City of Woodstock and have been a very significant contributor to the lands that are now in the northern part of Woodstock."
Ralph says the Township has made it pretty clear they do not have an appetite to do a boundary adjustment with the City of Woodstock at this time.
