An impaired driver was nabbed Saturday afternoon thanks to calls from concerned citizens. Woodstock Police say around 3:20 pm they received reports of a vehicle continuously revving it's engine, trying to get out of a ditch on Oxford Road 17, just east of Lakeview Drive. The callers said they could see flames under the truck from a grass fire ignited by the revving engine. A police investigation revealed that the driver had reversed from a walking trail entrance on Oxford Road 17 and drove into the ditch. 64 year-old Brian Crockett of Woodstock is now facing charges of Impaired Driving and Failing to Provide a Breath Sample.
