A 53 year old Hamilton man has been taken to a local hospital after driving the wrong direction on Highway 403 this afternoon
BRANT - Shortly after 12:30pm Brant County OPP were notified of a vehicle travelling the wrong way on Highway 403.
Following an investigation it was determined a vehicle was travelling westbound in the eastbound lane at Middle Townline Road. While travelling in the wrong direction the vehicle was struck by another vehicle causing minor damage. The vehicle continued down the highway forcing another motorist off the roadway. The driver then left the roadway, into the ditch, striking a tree.
As a result a 53 year old man from Hamilton was transported to local hospital with only minor injuries. The other motorists involved in the previous 2 incidents were not injured. The Eastbound lanes of the 403 were closed for 2hrs as the investigation continued.
Charges are pending once the investigation is concluded.
