INGERSOLL - A young child was injured after a drive by egging in the Town of Ingersoll.
Oxford OPP say the child was hit by a passing motorist in the area of Whiting Street near Chisolm Drive on Friday night. A mom was out walking with her 8 year old son, who was riding his bike when he got hit with the egg.
The four door red compact car was speeding through town when the passenger decided to toss the egg. Police were called and the child did receive minor injuries to his leg.
Police say the car has a loud muffler and may be similar to a Dodge Neon type vehicle. Oxford OPP are still investigating and would like to speak with anyone who may have information relating to this assault incident.
