Perth County OPP arrested and charged three people with drinking and driving over the weekend.
PERTH COUNTY - Perth County OPP were busy this weekend taking drunk drivers off the road.
Police say the charged three people with drinking and driving in three separate incidents. All three drivers were charged and released and their vehicles were impounded.
Two of the drunk drivers were from Huron East and the other one is from Norfolk County.
Perth County OPP did release the following statement say they will not tolerate drinking and driving.
"Impaired operation of a motor vehicle whether by alcohol or drugs will not be tolerated on our roadways. Too many times, these incidents result in collisions, injuries and fatalities. There are numerous ways to ensure a safe arrival, including a taxi, appointing a designated driver, or staying overnight. Driving while impaired poses a significant risk to public safety and is a criminal offence."
OPP are asking you to call 9-1-1 immediately if you suspect a drunk driver on the roads. Your observations can help to save a life.
