From Marathon runners to the Little Hoofers, Everyone had a great time at the Dairy Capital Run this year.
WOODSTOCK - Over 700 people participated in the Dairy Capital Run for the Woodstock Hospital Foundation this year.
Runners conversed at Southside Park to take in the event. Organizers are still counting the donations, however they are confident they will reach their $40,000 goal based on the number of participants this year.
Senior Development Officer Jocelyn Jenner tells Heart FM all of the money raised this year will go towards purchasing bassinets for the maternal child unit.
"Well our bassinets are 20 years old, something that is really important that we purchase for the hospital this year, these bassinets are more ergonomical for mothers and babies."
2016 marked the 20th anniversary of the Dairy Capital Run and to celebrate they introduced a 20 K run this year.
"Our 20 K participants did a great job, we had 16 people that ran the 20 K and all of them finished the race and made it in really good time, I don't think we had anyone over the 2 hour mark."
