Early bird registration for this years Dairy Capital Run will close on Wednesday May 25th.
WOODSTOCK - Time is running out to get the early bird discount for the Dairy Capital Run.
You can sign up online for the run until Wednesday May 25th. After that you will have to register the day of. All of the proceeds from the race this year will go towards buying new bassinets for the maternal ward unit at the Woodstock General Hospital. The run itself will happen at Southside Park on Sunday May 29th. Registration for the early bird run will start bright and early in the morning at 6:45 a.m. and the 20 km run will start at 8:00 a.m.
Senior Development Officer with the Woodstock Hospital Foundation Jocelyn Jenner tells Heart FM a lot of people have already signed up.
"We are doing really well right now; we have about 75% sold, so we still have some wiggle room and we are looking forward to seeing more people sign up before Wednesday."
New to the event this year is a 20 km run in honour of the 20 year anniversary. They also have a 10 k, 5 k, 2k and a race for the kids called Little Hoofers. Jenner tells Heart FM how much money they are hoping to raise this year.
"Were hoping to raise $45,000 this year and all of that money is supporting our bassinets at our Maternal Child Unit at the Woodstock General Hospital and there is a few different options for registration fee's, so it really depends on what you are registering for."
