Children who are interested in developing their acting skills are invited to the Summer Theatre Camp in Ingersoll. The Fridge Door Live Company will be coming to the First Baptist Church, beginning on July 29th.
INGERSOLL - The Fridge Door Live Company makes it's return to Ingersoll for Summer Youth Theatre Camp.
It is entering into its sixth season this summer.
Executive Director Len Cuthbert says the kids will participate in different activities.
"The kids are involved in improv activities and all kinds of theatre development games, and at the same time they'll work on a performance that they put on at the end of the week, on the Friday night, for families and friends to come to see. It's a play that I've written and there's some music involved in it as well. It's always got sort of a theme, it's little a bit about jealousy."
He says the children will take what they learned from those activities and apply them into their performance.
"They're being creative and developing. Coming up with ideas but at the same time they're enhancing their own abilities to be on stage and to be able to present a character, develop a character, stay in character and not break the fourth wall where they stay within their scene and not get laughing or communicate with the audience."
The performance will go from 6:30 to 7:30pm and it is free to attend.
Kids in grades 4 to 10 are invited to the First Baptist Church in Ingersoll.
The week-long camp runs from July 29th to August 2nd.
