They were all smiles in Ingersoll this weekend at the Curl for Kids Sake bonspiel.
INGERSOLL - Over $20,000 has been raised for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tillsonburg, Ingersoll and area at Curl For Kids Sake.
This past weekend they raised another $10,000 at the curling bonspiel in Ingersoll. Resource Coordinator Heather Breckleman tells Heart FM they had 8 teams participate this weekend and everyone had a great time.
"They were a bit more dressed up in Ingersoll and they had a bit more fun that way than in Tillsonburg, the draw was fuller so it was bit noisier and everyone really seemed to enjoy the curling and fundraising."
Breckleman says they were thrilled to reach their $20,000 goal at the two events in Ingersoll and Tillsonburg. All of the money raised will go towards some of the programs offered by Big Brothers Big Sisters. Breckleman also wanted to thank their title sponsor Scotiabank.
"Scotiabank in Tillsonburg is the title sponsor for the event, the General Manager there David Abrams has been a long time supporter, both of us in terms of providing volunteers and their staff have volunteered and they show up to participate in our events which is amazing."
