Starting next week, 6 branches at the Oxford County library will be offering curb side pickup.
OXFORD COUNTY - Curbside pickup has been running smoothly with the Oxford County Library.
They have several branches currently offering this service in Tillsonburg, Ingersoll, Norwich, Tavistock and Thamesford. Next week they will start offering curbside pickup in Plattsville. Branch Services Librarian Christina McLaren says a lot of people have taken advantage of the curbside pickup.
"Ingersoll and Tillsonburg have been going for about 4 weeks now and everything has been going smoothly. Norwich, Tavistock and Thamesford we are just starting our second week with that and things are going well there too and at Plattsville, we are just starting to prep that service."
McLaren says they do have several protocols in place to protect the patrons and staff during pickup.
"We have line up areas and pylons for people to keep their distance. We have drive up service as well at some locations where you can drive thru and staff will come over and drop your library materials in your trunk or through your back window. In other locations, it is just a matter of pulling up to a spot in the parking lot where we can see you and we will bring it to you."
You can place an order for curbside pickup at www.ocl.net, you can also call the library as well. If your location does not have curb side pickup, you can go to the closest library to grab your materials.
