Officer hit from behind on Highway 401 near Blenheim Road
The westbound lanes of Highway 401 near Blenheim Road have reopened following a collision involved an OPP cruiser.
It happened around 5 Saturday evening when the cruiser had parked on the side of the road to help a vehicle involved in another collision.
Officials say the officer was sitting in the cruiser when a westbound vehicle hit the cruiser from behind.
Both drivers were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Part of the highway was closed down but has reopened.
OPP are continuing to investigate.
