OXFORD COUNTY - Crime Stoppers Fundraising Gala is back with a country twist this year. The Gala is ditching the formal suits for jeans and cowboy boots.
Jan Hauke of Crime Stoppers announced this years special guest and performer country artist Genevieve Fisher.
"We are welcoming country artist Genevieve Fisher for the evening and we are very excited to have her and looking forward to having an excellent evening."
Jan also explains the importance this fundraising event has on Crime Stoppers.
"This is our prime fundraising event, we do hold a very good golf tournament as well. We really only ask Oxford County to support us twice per year and all of our funds go towards the tip reward program"
On average crime stoppers receives about 40 tips a month with a grand total of 8501 tips. Crime Stoppers have helped with over 1014 arrests, recovering $2,136,991 in stolen property and has taken over $7,230,359 worth of illegal drugs off the streets
The Gala will be held at the Elmhurst Inn and Spa in Ingersoll, on November 2nd at 6 PM.
