Highway #401 has reopened after a number of serious crashes yesterday.
OXFORD COUNTY - After yesterday's multi-vehicle fatal crash on Hwy #401, Police have extended the closure of Oxford Road 6/Foldens Line from Beachville Road to Hwy #401.
This collision claimed the life of one victim, their identity has not been released yet. At least one other driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Not long after, within several minutes there were two more multi vehicle crashes westbound on Hwy #401, east of the initial collision scene.
Approximately 27 vehicles were involved in total between the crashes. Police say minor injuries were reported at both separate collisions, which occurred just west of Sweaburg Road.
OPP are continuing their investigation into the collisions. Drivers are asked to refrain from driving down Oxford Rd.6 from Beachville Road to Hwy #401.
