Westbound lanes shut down in Ingersoll, after crash near Putnam.
UPDATE: 5:25 p.m. - The 401 Westbound has re-opened.
OPP are expecting to open the westbound 401 later this afternoon.
It's been shut down since 11:30 this morning in a 15km stretch between Culloden Road in Ingersoll and Putnam Road.
There were three separate multi-vehicle pileups in that section of highway, including several transport trucks and a Greyhound bus.
OPP reported there were injuries in the collisions, but the number and severity haven't yet been released.
The focus has been on removing the wreckage and re-opening the highway for the rush hour.
Police are indicating the westbound lanes of the highway should be open around 4 p.m.
