One driver involved in a two vehicle collision fled the scene in Norfolk County.
NORFOLK - A crash involving a pick up truck and a van prompted OPP to close down a portion of Queensway West for a few hours.
Around 2:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon a pick up truck was travelling eastbound on Queensway West, collided with a van that was turning westbound onto Queensway West from Queen Street in Simcoe.
The Norfolk OPP and Norfolk County Paramedics were on scene assisting the female driver and the passenger of the van. The two were taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Initially, the driver of the pickup truck fled from the scene, however police located the woman and took her into into custody without incident.
The roadway has since re-opened.
