The CPKC Holiday Train will stop in Cambridge, Ayr, Woodstock, and London on Sunday November 24th.
WOODSTOCK - The holiday season is right around the corner, which means the CPKC Holiday Train will return the Friendly City.
It's going to stop at 199 Winniett Street on Sunday November 24th this year. Spokesperson Terry Cunha says the train will roll in at 6:50 p.m. that day and head for London at 7:10 p.m.
"You'll have two amazing artists with American Authors and K.T. Tunstall performing some great musical shows. All free for the audience to watch, all we ask is that those coming out to bring a non-perishable food item to provide to their local food bank."
The train will stop in Cambridge and Ayr before visiting Woodstock that evening.
Cunha stresses the importance of bringing that food bank donation.
"We know food insecurity is a major issue across Canada, so we are encouraging those who come out to help a very important cause during the holiday season."
Since 1999, the CPKC Holiday Train has raised over $24 million and over 5.5 million pounds of food for food banks across Canada and the United States.
This is the 26th year for the train and it will be stopping in 167 communities across seven provinces and 13 U.S. states from November 21st to December 20th. You can find a map of the CPKC Holiday Train stops online here.
