The weekend begins with live music on vintage night, with the popular car show from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
WOODSTOCK - It's going to be a busy weekend in the Friendly City with the return of Cowapalooza in Southside Park!
Everything will kick off with vintage night tonight with the popular car show from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There is no pre-registration required, but car enthusiasts must show up sometime between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. if they want to be part of the show.
Live music will also rock the park Friday night, with Pauly & The Greaseballs and Elvis Lives, Bruno Nesci hitting the stage.
All of the fun continues on the Saturday with the Cowapalooza Kids Zone from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. They will have the Game Asylum video game party bus on site, a swinging carousel ride, inflatable obstacle course and a trackless train through Southside Park. Those who stop by will also be able to check out the busker shows from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The day will end with the highly anticipated Trews Concert starting at 8:30 p.m. After The Lounge will be the opening act and they will hit the stage starting at 6:30 p.m.
Special Events Coordinator Kristen Brodhagen says they have lots of parking options available.
"We will have parking available in Southside Park and on nearby streets but you can also feel free to park at the Reeves Community Complex, the Jack Dunn Memorial Parking lot, College Ave Secondary School and St. Mary's Catholic High School."
She says the City is also introducing a shuttle service this year.
"The City bus, thank you Transit Department, will pick up at the Civic Centre Arena. This will run from 4:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. and it will shuttle every 15 minutes to Southside Park to drop people off. So feel free to park at Civic Centre Arena."
Cowapalooza is a free festival and you can find more information online here.
Kristen Brodhagen stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Marcie and Matt on Thursday August 25th and you can listen to the full interview below.
