The 20th annual Cowapalooza will takeover Southside Park this Friday and Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - Twenty years of Cowapalooza hits Woodstock this weekend.
Manager of Special Events for Woodstock, Kristen Broadhagen says it is a special time for the city.
"Woodstock's favourite summer event is finally upon us, what a great way to, it is so unfortunate to say, but kind of wrap up our summer. We are so excited for this weekend."
Broadhagen adds that this will be an all-ages event, so bring your family out and enjoy.
"From 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. will be Cowapalooza Kids. We have a ton of free activities in the park from face painters, balloon twisters, inflatables, a rock climbing wall, we have a touch-a-truck area, and that is just a bit of a tease."
Southside Park will be the venue for the event, and Friday will feature a classic car show and live music from The Tavares Jazz Quintet, Blue Suede, and Elton Rohn, a tribute to Elton John.
Then on Saturday, you will be able to enjoy a Canadian staple as Sam Roberts Band will take to the stage to headline the night.
It is free to attend the event, and festivities get underway at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, and the mainstage starts Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
Broadhagen stopped by the Heart FM studio for a chat with Dan and Marcie on Tuesday August 15th and you can listen to the full interview below:
