The hospital’s in-patient units are now open to new admissions.
INGERSOLL - The COVID-19 outbreak at Alexandra Hospital Ingersoll has been declared over.
During the outbreak, the hospital had to close admissions on all units, sending most patients to Tillsonburg or Woodstock.
Interim President and CEO Mike Bastow says they had to expand precautions and surveillance during the outbreak.
"Diligent infection prevention and control measures were key in helping control this outbreak. We are so grateful for the support of all staff, physicians, leaders, Southwestern Public Health as well as Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital and Woodstock Hospital."
The hospital first declared an outbreak on January 4, 2022 on the combined medical unit. The hospital’s in-patient units are now open to new admissions.
