The County's search is on for a new CAO. Former Chief Administrative Officer Mike Bragg officially retired on Friday. The city posted the job on their website yesterday evening. Warden Don McKay says they're looking for someone with experience willing to take on the challenges and has a vision to help broker the relationships with area municipalities. He says there will be acting CAO's in the meantime until the position is filled. "Oxford County Council has approved a rotation for acting CAO's to take us through the summer months in anticipation that we'll have the position filled near the end of September." McKay is confident that an appropriate person will be found by the posting closing date of July 27th. He adds that Mike Bragg's contributions will be missed, but his presence will continue to support the county: "He's planning on staying here. He will continue to be involved not in County Council government, but certainly through his own personal interests and volunteer opportunities." The members of Oxford County Council each said a personal good-bye to Bragg at their meeting last Wednesday.
