Countdown clocks will be unveiled in Toronto, Vancouver and Niagara Falls today.
CANADA - We're officially one year away from the 2026 World Cup in Canada.
To mark the occasion, special countdown clocks will be unveiled in Toronto, Vancouver and Niagara Falls today. Toronto and Vancouver will serve as host cities for FIFA's expanded 48-team soccer showcase. Niagara Falls on the other hand is a popular tourist destination and it's also one of the most iconic backdrops in Canada.
The World Cup trophy will also make an appearance during the Canada Day celebrations in Ottawa.
A call for more 7,000 tournament volunteers will be issued in August, ticket sales will begin in September, and the tournament draw will take place in December.
