Tillsonburg Councillors are concerned about the selling price of their Library. The library is set to become part of the county system in the new year. That's prompted the county to want full possession of the building. But the land it sits on is not part of the deal. Town Councillor Marty Klein doesn't think they're asking for enough. "Our appraisal that the town had requested was for $467,000. The county requested a similar document and it was $323,000. The total of that is about $800,000 and the recommendation was to sell it for four (400-thousand). But that doesn't include the price of the land". He thinks the real value of the property is somewhere between $600,000 and $700,000. A price that would include the land. Tillsonburg Council defeated a motion to sell the building for 400-thousand dollars.
