There could be some fireworks at London City Council tonight. Councillor Nancy Branscombe is going to table a motion asking Joe Fontana to step down as Mayor. That is, until the RCMP is finished investigating allegations the former MP and Labour Minister used federal government money in 2005 to pay for his son's wedding reception. Branscombe contends the allegations are distracting Fontana from his duties as mayor. Fontana has already stated he won't step down.
