Another round of community grants have been dished out in City Council Chambers.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock City Council is handing out the first round of community grants for 2018.
Councillor Todd Poetter is a member of the Community Grants Advisory Committee. He says they have $151,270 in Woodstock Slot revenue to hand out this year.
"We gave out $83,250 to a bunch of worthy organizations and groups. We have another session in September, so they will leave us a little less than half to still be able to give out in September."
Poetter says they carefully examine each application before choosing the recipients.
"We discuss what their budgets are, how much help they need and how many people they effect in the city and we gage in on that."
The recipients are as follows;
