A bottle drive is taking place in Woodstock at Museum Square and the Floral Express parking lot today to raise money for the Community Free Table.
WOODSTOCK - Residents are encouraged to drop off any cans or bottles at two locations this weekend for the Community Free Table.
The Museum Square will be one of two locations today, going from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
Founder Chris Eby says he's really hoping they can raise some money
"We're trying to get people out to donate, the need has grown bigger than ever. There is more homelessness in Woodstock now than there's ever was and it's Christmas time, it's cold and we want to be able to supply these people with their toques, their gloves, their coats and even blankets."
Eby adds he'll be collecting bottles at the Floral Express parking lot from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
He says the initiative will only be run today, but you may also drop off cans and bottles at any time.
"It can be your soup can, it can be your fruit can or your returnable can we don't care because we can get money for all of it."
Proceeds will go back to the Community Free Table.
