Comedian Norm MacDonald has died at the age of 61, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
MacDonald, who hailed from Quebec City, Canada, was on the show from 1993 to 1998, and was well known as the anchor of the show's "Weekend Update" segment.
After leaving "SNL", he created and starred in his own comedy show "The Norm Show" between 1999 and 2001.
