There's a couple weeks left to book a Coffee Break before the campaign wraps up at the end of the month
There's still time to host a coffee break in support of the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
You can host a coffee break at your home, office, or really anywhere by contacting the local Alzheimer Society. The fundraiser started in October and runs until the end of the month. Executive Director Shelley Green tells Heart FM they have had a great response so far, but are always looking for more help.
"The reaction has been good for sure, we have had 76 hosts confirmed - they have already done a coffee break or are committed to doing a coffee break. We also have 8 business who have committed to having a donate buck in their stores, but we would certainly love to have more than that."
Green tells us this is a great way to support people living with Alzheimer's disease in our community. "The money that we raise through Coffee Break stays here locally in Oxford County and the money is used to support the many services and programs that we offer to people throughout the entire continuum of the disease from before diagnosis until after death."
Green says you can contact the office for a coffee break kit which will give you everything you need to host a coffee break. To get in touch with Sheena call 519-421-2466 or 1-887-594-2368 ext. 224 or email sheena@alzheimer.oxford.on.ca.
