Guilty of first degree murder or not guilty? That's the question the jury in the John Robinson murder trial will have to answer as early as Wednesday. The attorney's gave their closing arguments Tuesday. Since Robinson testified it was the Defence to go first. Anik Morrow told the jury that her client could not be guilty of murder since he did not have an intent to kill. Proof of this was the pipe that Robinson wrapped in a towel and the pathology reports. She reminded the jurors that both pathologist's testified that blunt force injury was not the cause of Clifford Fair's death. She asks "How is Mr. Robinson expected to see something that the experts can't even determine?" Attorney Tom Meehan gave his submission to the jury next. He suggested Mr. Robinson knew what he was doing all along. Meehan defined the word 'accident' to which he compared to this case. He said it could never be an accident as Robinson didn't do anything about it as he watched Fair die. Mr. Robinson's thought process is the key principle to the Crown's submission. The Judge's charge to the jury is expected Wednesday.
