Starting today, all City of Woodstock employees must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination if they want to enter a city owned building. Those who fail to do so will be subject to a rapid test.
WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock vaccine mandate will take effect this week.
The mandate states employee's, councillors and the Mayor must prove their vaccination status to enter a City owned building. This is in accordance with guidance from Southwestern Public Health. If they cannot produce their vaccination status, they will be subject to a rapid test, at their own cost, to prove they do not have COVID-19. This policy is only for staff and not the general public.
The general public will only need to provide proof of vaccination for recreational facilities under the Provincial guidelines. This would include City owned arenas and halls.
Well over 90% of Woodstock city employees are already vaccinated.
