On the heels of good news that Woodstock will continue to receive funding from the Woodstock Slots, Council approved a fresh round of community grants. They're offering up $10,000 to Oxford County Social Services to help fund recreational activities in Woodstock for low income children. The Oxford County Naval Veterans Association is also getting $10,000 as a one-time special grant to help them dredge their pond at the Navy Club. Big Brothers/Big Sisters is getting $4000 for moving expenses to their new location. And Woodstock Minor baseball is getting $2350 to offset costs of representing the city at the OBA Provincial Championships.
