The Oxford County Community Health Centre, the Woodstock Salvation Army, and Ingamo Homes will receive funds from Woodstock's Community and Social Well Being Reserve.
WOODSTOCK - Three local organizations will be getting money from Woodstock's Community and Social Well Being Reserve.
City Council voted in favour of taking $20,000 out of the reserve during yesterday's meeting and distributing it to the Oxford County Community Health Centre, the Woodstock Salvation Army, and Ingamo Homes.
The Community Health Centre will be getting $7,500 for the Mobile Health Outreach Bus and the Salvation Army will also get $7,500 for its food bank program. Ingamo Homes will be getting $5,000 so it can buy grocery gift cards for the women and children it supports.
The Community and Social Well Being Reserve was established during the 2023 budget discussions. Its goal is to support initiatives that address homelessness and community well being.
