Aylmer Police have charged the Church of God and three men following the outdoor service on Sunday.
AYLMER - The Church of God has been fined again after holding a large outdoor service on Sunday.
On Friday the Church doors were locked by police thanks to a Judges order for repeated violations of the Stay-At-Home order. The church was fined $39,000 and the head pastor was given a fine for $10,000 and the assistant pastor a fine for $3,000. The Church was also ordered to pay legal fees, totally $69,000 people.
On Sunday they hosted an outdoor service. Aylmer Police estimated around 400 people were in attendance. Today the Police announced an additional charge against the Church as a corporation and three men. The fines are against a 56 year old man from Aylmer, a 26 year old man from Aylmer and a 26 year old man from Steinbach Manitoba. Police did not release any names.
Aylmer Police will actively pursue further options to ensure compliance with emergency orders of this particular church and participants in order to protect the community from harm.
