Santa Claus will be spending some time in Woodstock this weekend for the unofficial start to Christmas.
WOODSTOCK - The unofficial start to Christmas in the Friendly City gets underway tonight.
Things will kick off Friday night at 6:00 p.m. with sleigh rides, live music and Santa's House. Communications and Special Events Manager for the City of Woodstock Brad Janssen.
"At 7 o'clock we will hear from the Mayor, we will have a cry from the town crier from Slovenia Ohio, our sister city and then more music, more cookies and then will flip the switch to light up Museum Square."
They will also have free hot chocolate and Christmas cookies to help keep everyone in the festive spirit. Friday is also the start of Ding Dong the Tax is Gone at local business in the downtown core.
The City will also have Festive Friday events next weekend and the sleigh rides will start on November 30th.
