Canadian Military released the names of the two victims of the crash. Cpt Marc Larouche of Quebec and Cpt David Domagala of Woodstock.
PETAWAWA - The names of the Air Force members who died in the helicopter crash near Petawawa have been released.
53-year-old Cpt Marc Larouche and 32-year-old Cpt David Domagala were taking part in a nighttime training exercise this past Tuesday, June 20th.
Larouche was a Quebec native from the 450 Tactical Helicopter Squadron since 2016 and Domagala was from our very own Woodstock and had been posted to the squadron since 2019.
Chief of the Defence staff, Gen. Wayne Eyre made this statement on wednesday
"They served with honour, proudly devoting their lives to Canada with tremendous professionalism and selfless service. Their loss is devastating, and we stand in grief with their families, friends, and teammates during this time of great sorrow."
The cause of the crash is still unknown, but the other two crew members on board were found with minor injuries and have since been released from hospital care.
