Child Care Program Options for Tomorrow

Much like parents scrambling to find child care on short notice, some organizations in Woodstock are also scrambling to put day programs together. Elementary teachers across the province are holding a 1-day "political protest" tomorrow to show their displeasure with an imposed 2-year contract. The Woodstock YMCA is hosting a "Care Day" from 9AM-4:30PM with crafts and games. The Tillsonburg Community Centre is hosting a similar program to what they ran during the strike day in December with swimming and skating from 8-4:30. The Town of Ingersoll does not have any programs scheduled, and neither does the Woodstock Museum. However, the Woodstock Cooperative Dance School and Diamond Dance Centre both have programs set for tomorrow. Here are the details for each one: YMCA "Care Day" 9AM-4:30PM Before & After Care 7:45AM - 5:30PM extra Members $20/Non-members $25 Games & Crafts Call to register over phone 539-6181, or drop by until 10PM Thursday Tillsonburg Community Centre 8AM-4:30PM $30 w/ $5 options for pizza lunch Skating and swimming and other activities 519-688-9011 Diamond Dance Centre is running a special one-day dance camp for ages 5-12. 9AM - 4PM A day of dance, crafts an activities for $30.00, pizza provided.
