Oxford OPP received over 10 calls about a wrong way driver on the 401 in Blandford-Blenheim Saturday morning.
BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - A 79-year-old from Richmond Hill is facing charges after police received numerous calls about a vehicle going the wrong way on the 401 over the weekend.
Over 10 people called the Oxford OPP about a vehicle heading east in the westbound lanes of the 401 in Blandford-Blenheim Saturday morning. The driver eventually did a U-turn and exited the highway at Towerline Road.
Officers were able to track down the vehicle as it tried to get back on the 401 but they stopped it on the on ramp.
The driver has been charged with impaired driving, dangerous operation and driving a vehicle with an open container of liquor.
