The Oxford Rainbow Coalition invites everyone to step up and be heard during their open mic night.
WOODSTOCK - Poets, dancers, and musicians will hit the Market Theatre stage to spread a message of inclusiveness.
The Oxford Rainbow Coalition's Youth chapter, Rainbow Youth Oxford, is hosting an open mic night called 'Amplify Yourself.'
Chair Person of the Coalition Gail Milne invites LGBTQ+ youth and anyone else who wants to find a sense of belonging.
"Through conversations over the last six months we developed the idea of an event that could celebrate all youth, not just specifically LGBTQ+ youth, but that all youth have diversity that we need to celebrate."
Milne says this is a great opportunity for people to ask questions and learn about resources in this area.
"So they can get information there, it's going to be a very informal and comfortable environment to ask questions. Very inclusive of all people. I think it's a perfect opportunity for people who are allies to come as well."
Special guest performer Nefe will also hit the stage to cap off the night.
Things get started at The Market Centre Theatre at 7 p.m. on Sunday and tickets are $5. Youth between 14 - 21 are welcome to attend.
