Federal funding is up for grabs to make local establishments more handicapped accessible. The "Enabling Accessibility Fund" is now open for applications. The government will provide up to 50-thousand dollars to help renovate or retrofit a building. Vehicle modifications and communication technology are also eligible. Oxford MP Dave MacKenzie says, "They're deemed to be smaller projects, but you know, there's a lot of organizations, businesses, charitable groups that still haven't been able to make their building accessible. That's what the intention of this fund is." Interested groups have until October 5th to apply. Click here for more information.
