The Thamesford Lions Club is bringing the annual Carol Sing Along back to the Thamesford Recreation Centre on Saturday November 30th.
THAMESFORD - The Lions Club in Thamesford is helping residents get in the holiday spirit.
It is bringing back the annual Carol Sing Along to the Thamesford Recreation Centre. Event Chair, Jim Keron says the show is a mix of an old-time Christmas concert and new technology.
"This year, the acts we've got a couple of local schools involved. The Thamesford Public School is sending a choir over, and the Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute is sending their jazz band."
Keron adds there will be solo acts performing as well, and there will also be a group sing-along during the event. He mentions there will be a fundraiser taking place that night as well.
"There's a group that runs out of Ingersoll called the Inter-Church Fund where they raise money and provide Christmas hampers to various needy families around Ingersoll and Thamesford and the local community."
The event will happen on Saturday November 30th starting at 6:30 p.m. Keron says there will be an opportunity for photos with Santa, and after the event, there will be freshly baked cookies and hot chocolate. It is free to attend but donations will be accepted.
